Entrance Exam

Cathedral Prep requires all 8th grade applicants to take the Entrance Exam. Students are encouraged to take the Entrance Exam on the October 31, 2009 date in order to qualify for the Entrance Exam Scholarships, Early Admission, and the $100 Early Deposit Discount.

On Saturday, October 31, 2009 students may arrive at 7:45 AM. The test will be administered at 8:00 AM and will be completed at approximately 11:30 AM. Students can enter the building on the West 10th Street side of the school by way of the Auditorium, which is located near 10th Street and Myrtle Street.

After the Entrance Exam on October 31, 2009 students are invited to Prep’s cafeteria to enjoy a complimentary lunch!

The January 30, 2010 exam date is primarily utilized as a make-up date for the students that could not attend the Exam in October. Students that take the January exam are not eligible for early admission, the $100 discount, or the Entrance Exam Scholarships.

Alternate Entrance Exam Date: Saturday, January 30, 2010. Students may arrive after 8:00 AM. The test will be administered at 8:30 AM. The test will be completed at approximately 11:30 AM. Please enter the building on the West 10th Street side of the school by way of the Auditorium, which is located near 10th Street and Myrtle Street.

Special Entrance Exam Awards:
Cathedral Prep recognizes special academic achievement by offering scholarship awards to students achieving exemplary scores on the Entrance Exam. The students receiving the top ten exam scores will each be rewarded a renewable $500 or $1,000 scholarship to be applied to tuition payment upon enrollment. These scholarships are only offered to the students who take the October 31, 2009 Entrance Exam.
